Main Street Subway

The Main Street Subway is on the Bloor Danforth Line of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). Up until 1966, the site used to be the Main Loop of the Carlton street car line and still has a streetcar service running in and out of there. In 1968, the Subway station was opened.
I have a friend who lives at this intersection and if you see the number of apartments in one corner, I really believe someone must know someone at Main/Danforth ;) Check out these corner pics. Incidentally, for the best shwarma in the City, take the subway to Main and check out “Sultan” … great price, friendly service, even better food!

Oh and the Danforth GO station is right there as well, so it’s a great interchange to get out of Toronto (East to Oshawa or West to Hamilton)!

I think I need a better camera, these pictures look a little dull ;)
