Pape Subway

Outside Pape Station-under contruction
Pape Subway Station is on the Bloor-Danforth Line of the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). It been quite the eye sore for a few years now while it is being under constant construction and delays by Contractors and the City. Pape is scheduled for a revamp into the modern world.

When you walk outside you are right in the heart of Greektown! Famous corner of Pape and Danforth with loads of shops and great places to eat! Every year since 1994 Danforth is closed off for the famous annual Tastes of Danforth celebration which started with 5,000 people and now over a 1,000,000 show up to sample the best of the Mediterranean!

The House
On a personal note, since I just couldn’t help myself today.. taking a walk from the corner of Pape and Danforth --just one block south and saw the house I was married in and raised my two small children for about 7 years before life threw me a hardball, and I left with my children with a decision and a new direction.

It was still a gorgeous fall day to be out:)

Leslie Subway

The Leslie Subway is on the Sheppard Line. It opened in 2002 to the public. When I see these stations I am usually just catching them at random times when I’m on my way home from work so try to catch pictures when its not so crowded!
Here are some of them.

The Leslie Subway takes to minutes away from the East Don River (which isn’t quite so stinky these days) and of course in the heart of North York, you can always depend on gorgeous parkland that’s been maintained throughout.

The North York General Hospital and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine are directly at the corner of Leslie and Esther Shriner Drive- if you are a frequent visitor to the Hospital I strongly suggest the subway since I’ve heard the prices of parking there is outrageous! If you’re looking to go shopping IKEA and Canadian Tire are also within minutes from the Leslie Subway.
